Even after 20 years of practice, something essential continues to unfold each time I return to the mat. As our bodies, health, environments, and stages of life evolve, so too does the practice. This adaptability is what makes yoga a dynamic, fluid tradition.
Integrating Ayurveda and somatics has deepened my appreciation for yoga’s subtle capacity to support physiological balance and healing. In both my personal practice and teaching, I honor its roots through an intentional blend of asana (postures), pranayama (breathing practices), meditation, and supportive daily habits.
As a Montreal-based certified Hatha yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance International (YAI) and an Ayurvedic counsellor (AAWC) trained through the Centre of Ayurveda and Indian Systems of Healing (CAISH), I guide practices aligned with Ayurvedic principles, recognizing how elemental and environmental influences shape our internal landscape.
Somatic movement adds another layer, helping release tension, restore functional movement, and regulate the nervous system. My training with yoga therapist Megan MacCarthy informs how I weave somatics into the asana practice, creating sessions that are grounding and restorative.
Informed by my background in health literacy, I am committed to compassionate communication and patient advocacy. I view health challenges and physical limitations as pathways for deepening awareness, cultivating receptivity, and reconnecting with the aliveness within.
